I believe in Jesus and that he died on the cross for my sins.Because he did that for me and everyone else, I have “no worries” about anything in life. Literal translation of “Hakuna Matata” is “There are no worries”. The language is Swahili (Bantu Language) is from northern Kenya to northern Mozambique. I love my tattoo so much and I am so glad it will stay with me for the rest of my life. It’s my everyday reminder to not worry about even the littlest of things. I loved getting it done. I specifically wanted my tattoo to be easily readable and still be artistically done, and my tattooist, Chris Johne, did just that! The Artist who did it for me was Chris Johne. (chris_johne@yahoo.com) of Sacred Heart Tattoo, Vancouver, B.C., Canada (http://www.sacredhearttattoo.ca/) Chris did such a good job on it and I am 100% satisfied with his artwork. He retouched it for free and modified it a little to my preference without hesitation.

Permalink fuckyeahtattoos: my tattoo was done in october by os at cottage 13 in hamilton, ontario. my uncle (http://www.torlukasikfoss.com/) designed it for me. it is a stylized image of an egret. this picture means so much to me because it is a connection to my family (and their love of birds), a symbol of independence and solitude, and lastly a symbol of infinity. i love it to peices and can’t wait to get another.
Permalink fuckyeahtattoos: 5 close friends who spend most of their time together gathered for a breakfast this sunday around 2 pm and it turned out a day full of fun & beer in kadikoy, istanbul, TR. They went to visit their tattoo artist friend in his studio at midnight with tummies full of beer and minds full of fun, they decided to get tattooed right away. m.s.(37) is h.a.(27)’s boyfriend, h.k.(30) is m.s&h.a’s neighbour, b.t.(25)&k.t.(24) are cousins and also b.t. is m.s’s collegue) they loved the idea of having the same little skull on their bodies. don’t miss the heart-shaped eyes and shadowy eye-brows. after the tattoo session done with maximum fun and minimum pain, they realised the skull was a little bit alike misfit’s logo! they ignored this fact. tattoo is randomly chosen by h&b. tattoo artist: burak demir march 2012, black magic tattoo studio, istanbul, turkey  I never thought of getting a matching tatt with anyone, bc Im not sure I would be that into him. Soul mates are different, I guess it just needs a right time and being challenged. If I’m lucky I would have them till the end of my life.

Im too afraid of long term attachment, and like conflicts. Thats why tattoo is so attractive to me. The idea of hving sth that sticks there forever sounds a lot appealing, and it definitely does need a beautiful meaning, even the most random stuff. Theres jst a lot into it.
Hmm, happy alcohol day! I mean st patricks day. Yay!

Permalink This is my second tattoo that I wanted to have for my 20 bday but couldn’t resist when I went to Boston for spring break. I got it at Pino Bros Ink, Cambridge after a few research and reading on yelp. Ken did it for me, he’s pretty nice and careful, helping a lot to make me feel better too since I was acting like a kid textin everyone to get a little talk and forget abt the pain.  So the meaning of the tattoo. These are 4 symbols presenting the things that matter to me the most: (left to right) the first one is mayan glyph for fire = passion, inspiration; second one means earth = the world, exploration; third one is Apple shuffle icon = my love for music in general and also my spontaneous personality that I used to hate; last one means Home, this probably doesnt need further explanation. Such a coincidence to do mayan tatt right on 2012 btw. Together for the order I made I meant Fire the world then eventually I will be home with my beloved and everything waiting for me there. I’d love to live a life of a traveler, explore a little everywhere and never stay in one place, I’m not sure where I would end up yet, but definitely where I feel like home best. And my home for now is still my little Ha Noi.
